About: Aaron Burton
Aaron is currently completing a Bachelor of Photography with Honours at the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University. He specialises in documentary short films that integrate still photographs, video, and original musical scores. The methodology and style of his productions intend to question dominant media representations while providing a voice to everyday people. In 2005 he was the still photographer for the SBS production Mohammad Hossain’s Intensive Care, in 2004 he was the Editor for The Fall of The House and in 2002 he worked as the Assistant Editor on The Actor and The President, both with Kurrajong Films. Hi projects as a photojournalist include; Communities for Children Initiative, with The Salvation Army in 2006, Ubuntu: South Africa/Australia Alive! with the Christian Brothers and Nutrition of Cancer Patients with the Wesley Hospital in 2005.
